 Favorite birthday gift for a 9 year old!Jun 15, 2010
I purchased this tin for a birthday gift and was told it was the "coolest gift ever!" by a 9 year old boy. All of the kids "oooohhhed and ahhhhhed" over it since the gogos inside were not any they could pick up at the local store. The tin has ample room to put several dozen as a carrying case but the kids loved that there was an individual slot for each of the 10 gogos. I am a little surprised that they didn't come with stickers like the packs. The kids didn't seem to mind since the figures were unique. At the party, the 9-ish boy crowd enjoyed collecting them while the 5-ish girls pretend played with them alongside the dolls. I don't understand the fascination, but I'd purchase this again and highly recommend for a child (older than toddler as the figures are the size of an adult thumb) who enjoys gogos or any small plastic figurines.

My youngest came home from school one day and said he was going to start saving immediatly for his gogos.
A week later is what it took him. Four days later he recieved them in the mail,

I bought four tins of these gogos for my four grandchildren. They are toys they collect, not play with. They find it a lot of fun. And these little critters are really cute.

Apparently, this is the new "MUST HAVE" toy for my kids. First it was Pokeman, then Baugukan and now it's HexBugs and gogo's crazy bones. I like these better then the mass marketed choices. This tin works out cheaper then buying individual packs and it also provides a great way to keep them all in one place. The tins can be hard to find in stores so purchasing here is a nice option as long as the price is reasonable.
A pamphlet is included inside that details all the different tins (there are 5 different ones) and what figures are included with their names and points. There are 10 figures with just one card. You get more cards when purchasing the figures in smaller packs but you end up paying more for the same amount so it's a trade off. My son bought another one at a store for more then $15. They list a website for the toy that also provides game rules, videos and other forums for all things crazy bones.
I know that some marketing ploy is behind the rush to own THIS toy over others but it's always something and I'm okay with it compared to others. My boys think up ways to make their own gogo's crazy bone video, play the battle game and keep themselves busy so I think it's worth the price. I also highly recommend the One Individual Nano Hexbug Robot with Online Code - Colors May Vary. I'm not a big fan of the mass marketing of Pokeman & Bagukan (tv shows, lunch packs, etc.) so I was very happy to leave those behind.

I first saw these at Thanksgiving as all my nephews were already collecting. We decided to check them out as a family - and what a great Christmas present they turned out to be. We are already HUGE fans and can't wait to continue collecting them. We also found the Series 1 book and have been putting our stickers in there. There are fun games and the figures are so cute and fun!!!
