5Beats the "bored" gameJun 07, 2010
I played the Game of Life board game in my youth, with my children and grandkids, but only rarely, and never twice in a day...we'd drag it out every few years. It was just too long and boring. The kids would drop out, we called them "suicides". Not with this fancy electronic version, we've played back-on-back games and gone whole hog with the longest lifespan. The grandkids are older now, from 13 to 21 but all glad to have "rediscovered" it and the old-fashioned "bored-game" sets in the game closet. I question if kids under 10 would have the patience for even this improved version but even the adults play this with the adolescents.

5Great game for young teens/preteensMay 12, 2010
I bought this game as a gift for a 14-year old, and she and her younger sisters and parents had tons of fun playing it. They apparently played it at least 5 times the first weekend they had it. It comes with a "credit card" type of thing that teaches them about using credit. So, educational AND fun!

2Too computerizedApr 15, 2010
I bought this for my 9 year old grandson on his birthday, thinking to be grandma of the year. He asked for the Life game so of course I had to try one that's better. He played it a few times and I asked him to be honest with me on what he thought and he said he liked the plain old regular Life much better. This one is too computerized, he said. His parents agree.
