7 month old loves itJul 28, 2010 My 7 month old daughter loves this toy! She loves the songs and turning the pages. I don't like that it does not really stand up on it's own as pictured.
Difficult to play withMay 17, 2010 This was a gift to my 8 month old twins who are now 10 months. I found this book toy to be a bit unwieldy and the pages are hard to turn. They're not set in there very loosely so it takes quite a bit of force (for a baby) to separate the pages and then once you start turning the page the whole thing flips over. They seem to still have fun with it, but it never stands up and plays it's song while baby turns the page - this just is not possible due to how it's made. Cleaning the pages is a challenge because it's cardstock stickers and is bubbling up a bit after a couple months of light cleaning. I would pass on this storybook and check out others.
Very colorful and cute... but the volume is not loud enoughMay 03, 2010 I bought this toy for my 9 month old son... while it looks cute, colorful.. the speaker is at the back of the caterpillar's head. So when you open the toy and put it on your lap to read with your kid, it is not audible enough.
I wouldn't have ordered it I had known this before.
4.75 stars reallyFeb 15, 2010 I bought this in November 2007 and to date (Feb 2010) she loves this toy. I haven't had to change batteries. It has fallen a few times but everything is still in tact and fully functioning! It has encouraged her love of music. She just started pre-school so I don't know if she'll start using it to count. She didn't use it for colors either - maybe each page was too colorful. Now that she knows her colors I'll see if she will acknowledge those the book highlights. Love it, buy it for your child.
Great toy, hard to please son loved it!Jan 08, 2010 My son is the typical toddler, he goes from one to to another. Nothing really suits his fancy for very long. When we bought this from the store on the car ride home (about an hour) he played with the whole time instead of falling to sleep like he normally does. He still plays with it a lot now too. He loves it. And I love that it sings to him and lights up. Very nice toy!
