Bought this as a christmas gift for someone who is for lack of a better description, a music buff. We always liked the regular catch phrase real well and figured since we have a fairly vast knowledge of music that this would be even more perfect than the original...boy were we wrong!!! This game is so very complicated it will leave you speechless. example-sat down with 8 people who pride themselves in loving all kinds of music, very knowledgible of all styles of music past and present, the ages of people were from 23-60. We were at a huge loss, played for about 20 minutes and not only did we as a group, find it very difficult to give clues but also couldnt even as a group come up with clues, answers or even a good start. So very disappointing, I cant even begin to tell you, this is not nearly the game that the original is...not even close.

This is a really fun game. The only down fall is that you can't update the music or add any to it!

i love the regular version of this which i have as well, we are avid game players and this game is just not fun to us or our friends. that is just our opinion, others may like it, we just dont. i know i should say why more specificly but it is hard to explain. it just does not play like the regular game. you would think it is like the other one but it seems like the way to play it is guess this song and you have to try and sing the song they tell you on the screen but you cant use the title words...of which you just read... and now that is the only part of the song that is stuck in your head... like i said just my opinion. so we dont care for this one. i would not buy again.

Having played "Catch Phrase" at group get together, I was looking forward to the same excitement from the music edition. The first time we played, the game delivered; however the game became more redundant with each successive play. After about 5 rounds, we were frequently skipping items that had come up in the previous round. In short, this is game is great fun for a couple of rounds, but there is very little replay to it.

I purchased Catch Phrase Music Edition and haven't had this much fun in ages. We laughed so hard and had such a great time. Our friends are anxious to come over again so we can play again. I recommend this for anyone who thinks they know music and are not embarassed to make a fool of themselves while trying to get their partner to guess the answer!
